Determine location of television station antenna. The first thing that you must do is to give the regional TV station a telephone call. Then, ask them regarding the location of their broadcast antennas.

You now need to alter or adjust the present position of your exterior antenna. In case you had your aerial installed on the roof, you should release the U-bolts which are carrying the aerials. Then, reposition the aerial and point it to the route where the TV station's broadcast mast is situated. Be sure you have a helper to aid you observe the television each time you make any changes to the aerial. Refrain from yelling to one another to talk, but rather, utilize a phone. Every time you create a change to the position of the exterior antenna, ask your assistant to rescan for stations. Then, when you have finally obtained the stations you want, fasten the U-bolts to keep the antenna secured in place.

Make adjustments to the interior antennas. Elevate the aerial ears as high as possible towards the ceiling. And then, assess your TV set if the channels are getting an excellent reception. If not, continue readjusting the antenna ears by pointing them to the window.

Bring the antenna close to the window. The television station's broadcast signal is best where there are no interferences. Therefore, try moving your TV set near the window where it could obtain a direct signal from the transmission mast. Be sure that the co-axial cables aren't kinked to less than 3 inches in radius.

A different way for you to determine which specific place inside the room has the finest TV reception is to carry the aerial and move it across the room. While you're performing this, make sure to watch for the perfect reception from the TV. When you have determined the area for the best reception, transfer the TV set to that particular spot.

An elevated location at home also gives a better TV reception from, say, the basement or first floor. Thus, in case your television is not acquiring good reception from the floor it's currently positioned, move the TV set to a higher floor.
