How To Tap Into Your Ipad's Capabilities

While using an iPad is a very easy and intuitive experience, there are several things that casual users may not know about. Check out these tips in order to improve every aspect of using your tablet. Be sure to read through the article more than once to get all the information.

Did you open too many apps? You can access all your open apps by tapping on the home button of your iPad and bar will appear at the bottom of you screen. Tap the app you want to access and repeat this process later to access your other running aps.

Buy a cloth made of microfiber to wipe the screen of you iPad as often as you can. This may seem excessive, but it is much harder to see if everything is not clear. If you use a wipe made of something else, there is a huge chance that it may scratch the screen.

Want to connect to your iPad via VPN connection? If so, this feature is now possible. Navigate to Settings, General, and Network. Find the VPN slider and move it to the On position. Once you do this, add the configuration for the VPN onto your server and account. It's really easy!

Be sure to update your device as often as possible, but in general you need not worry about destroying your iPad with unsafe web-surfing or downloaded applications.

Sadly, many covers claim to be a SmartCover, but few actually work. The investment in an Apple SmartCover is a great idea as it makes your iPad sleep when you close it and wakes it up when you open it again. This saves you a ton of time and your battery, too.

Password protect your device. This can be a great way to keep prying eyes away from your information and your iPad. Think of a password you can remember, and make sure that it is not the same password as the one you use everywhere else. Write it down so that you can retrieve it if you forget.

A great tip for anyone who has an iPad 2 or newer is to use a Smart Cover. These are really great because you draw it on the iPad's screen, it will put your iPad to sleep. It will also wake up your iPad when you open it. They are custom made for the iPad 2 and newer.

The zoom function has only recently been polished into a fully functioning feature that doesn't aggravate its users. A slight pinch with two fingers will pull the screen forward around the designated section. Double-tapping also zooms in automatically until the area stretches across the entire screen. Quick hand gestures mean you can instantly navigate, zoom, and read a webpage without missing a beat.

If you do not like the search engine you are using on your iPad, you can change it. All you need to do is go to Settings, then Safari, and finally, search engine. Here, you can choose which search engine you would like. Just be aware that you can only pick from Bing, Yahoo, or Google.
